On 19th September 2023, peacefully at Lake View Lodge Care Home, Fairhaven.  Irene, aged 96 years.  Beloved wife of the late Albert, much loved mum of Anthony and Linda, dear mother-in-law of Debbie and the late George, dearly loved nana of Caroline, Matthew and Rachel also cherished great-nana of Noah and Phoebe.  A service in St Peter’s Church, Darwen on Thursday, 5th October at 11.15 a.m. will be followed by cremation at Pleasington.  Family flowers only please, but if desired donations may be sent for St Peter’s Church, Darwen.  c/o Edwin Ainsworth Funeral Service, Church Bank Street, Darwen.  BB3 3HA.  Tel 01254 873290
