Melissa Dabrowski Cert. FP, MIFDC

Melissa, the daughter of Gregory and Patricia Dabrowski came into Ainsworth’s for the first time aged 10 days old. She pursued a career aged 16 years in horse racing until 2019 when she left racing to join the family business.

Melissa has been locally involved with helping the community such as volunteering with The Friends of Darwen Cemetery and doing talks in local schools about the funeral industry along with her previous job of being a jockey. Melissa still owns a horse which she used to help train when she was a jockey.

Melissa has been actively gaining certificates of her achievements in the funeral industry and has worked her way through the IFD College which has gained her the certificate in Funeral Practice. Melissa is currently studying and flying through her diploma in Funeral Directing. She is part of a few sub committees within our trade organisation of SAIF and is also a volunteer for Find a Grave.

Melissa in her spare time enjoys going running, dancing and spending time with her dogs, Rex and Rosie and horse Anna, even though when it comes to riding Anna, Oscar her son has decided to take Melissa’s ride on occasions!
