On Thursday, 3rd October 2019, peacefully in hospital with his niece by his side. Derek aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Joyce also much loved uncle of Jessica. Reposing in Ainsworth’s Chapel of Rest, Church Bank Street, Darwen where flowers will be received or donations in memory of Derek may be sent for Guide Dogs for the Blind. A service in St Peter’s Church, Darwen on Friday, 11th October at 11 a.m. will be followed by interment at Darwen Eastern Cemetery.
